Payvment launches 'shopping mall' on Facebook
Payvment, Facebook's ecommerce platform, launched a "shopping mall" on the social networking site with over one million searchable, interactive products.
The online mall, which currently lists over 50,000 retailers and has over 250 sign-ups every day, also has a mall directory which has a list of ecommerce stores ranging from celebrity brands to local merchants.
It also uses Facebook's "like" function to get a merchant's top-tier products virally noticed.
The mall enables merchants to have their own, searchable page within the Shopping Mall on Facebook, where shoppers can sort products by price, most liked item and more.
The site also makes personalized recommendations to users based on products they had previously liked.
It also comprises a dashboard that creates the "You like," list which creates a wish list of products for the user.
The "Your Friends like," section which tells users what their friends like and "Your Cart" holds on to the items selected by the users even if he does not buy and updates pricing and inventory information.
